Dr. Irina Kovalskys is a pediatrician specializing in child nutrition and holds a medical degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina. She graduated from the University of Buenos Aires and completed her pediatric residency at the Ricardo Guti\u00e9rrez Children's Hospital. She then specialized in child nutrition at the Garrahan, Guti\u00e9rrez, and Sor Ludovica Hospitals in La Plata, where she trained as a clinical nutritionist.<\/p>

She completed her training in childhood obesity at the Center for Childhood Obesity Prevention at Stanford University (United States). Building on this experience, she developed and implemented research projects in the epidemiology and prevention of childhood obesity, later expanding her work to include nutritional epidemiology in populations, dietary intake studies, and physical activity. This trajectory contributed to a sustained scientific output and the attainment of her doctorate.<\/p>

Her training in eating disorders was developed alongside national and international leaders, including Dr. Cecile Rauch and Dr. Luisa Bay, an area in which she later also worked as a trainer of professionals, while in Diabetes and Obesity her mother, Dr. Carmen Mazza, was her great inspiration and main mentor.<\/p>

I work with leading experts in pediatrics, gastroenterology, and nutrition.\u00a0 <\/span>internationally through its\u00a0 <\/span>He spent time at INTA (Chile) and has had the privilege of sharing work experiences with leading figures, including\u00a0 <\/span>Doctors Angel Gil, Luis Moreno, Berthold Kholetzco and Mauro Fisberg, among others.<\/p>

Currently, she teaches in the Nutrition program at the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina and is a professor in the Master's Program in Nutrition and Public Health at the Institute of Pediatric Research of the National University of La Plata. Her current research focuses on childhood obesity, population studies of energy intake and expenditure, body composition, and metabolism.<\/p>

She is the author of manuals, book chapters, and over 100 scientific publications. Within scientific societies, she has served as editor of the journal Nutrition Update<\/i> and as vice president of the Argentine Society of Nutrition. Internationally, she has participated in various working groups, including the International Pediatric Association and the International Fat Research Group.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
